Hurtful Words, Holy Strength

Hurtful Words, Holy Strength

the words were painful,
cutting deeper than any quiet night;
she said I could never graduate in three years—
and that broke my heart in ways I can’t explain.

but I look up to the sky, holding back tears,
because I know God never makes a mistake.
even when their words try to break me,
I hold on tight to hope.

I hope God moves,
turning wounds into a shining path.
I hope God helps me,
giving strength when the world feels heavy.

I hope God makes me graduate in three years—
and when that day finally comes,
I want them to see
that God’s miracles are far bigger
than any hurtful words they spoke.

I will rise, stand firm, and overcome,
with strength that comes from Him.

STEM/STEAM Education and the Evolution of Disciplinary Integration:

STEM/STEAM Education and the Evolution of Disciplinary Integration:

  1. Intradisciplinary – Focuses within a single discipline.
Example: Learning only physics concepts without connecting to math, engineering, or technology.

  2. Multidisciplinary – Multiple disciplines are studied side by side, but connections are minimal.
Example: A project has separate science, math, and art components, but students see them as distinct.

  3. Crossdisciplinary – One discipline applies methods or perspectives of another to deepen understanding.
Example: Using math techniques to analyze data in a science experiment.

  4. Interdisciplinary – Disciplines are integrated so students explore connections and solve complex problems.
Example: A STEAM project combining engineering design, art aesthetics, and scientific principles to create a model bridge.

  5. Transdisciplinary – Integration goes beyond disciplines, often addressing real-world problems with holistic thinking.
Example: Students work on sustainable city planning, integrating science, technology, engineering, art, math, and social/community considerations.

In short: STEM/STEAM pushes education from a narrow, siloed approach to a holistic, real-world, problem-solving orientation. The shift is:

Intradisciplinary → Multidisciplinary → Crossdisciplinary → Interdisciplinary → Transdisciplinary

In Time, I Rise

In Time, I Rise

I just realized, the sting was real,
A bully’s words, a sharpened steel.
Ignored my chat, mocked my years,
Feeding on doubts, amplifying fears.

Yes, I am older, but patient I stay,
Time and God will have their way.
Every harsh laugh, every sneer,
Is fuel for strength, not reason to fear.

I trust in Him, His plan is grand,
Not mine to hurry, not mine to command.
One day the scales will tip, the light will shine,
What feels cruel now, will align divine.

In the end, I will stand tall and true,
With His help, I will see it through.
The battle is His, the victory sweet,
Patience wins where pride meets defeat.
