"Let Me Stay Here"
I can't be me in that place,
Its silence drowns my voice,
Each day, a mask I wear,
Stripped of my sacred choice.
It kills me slow, that space—
Where dreams dissolve in air,
Where prayers bounce off the walls,
And no one seems to care.
Please, set me free tonight,
Unchain this soul of mine,
Let me breathe where I belong,
Where stars and spirit align.
Please, let me stay right here,
This soil feels like home’s grace,
Where faith flows like a river,
And peace wraps round this place.
By the way—just so you see,
Here, I can do Hajj with ease,
No need to wait 25 long years,
To bow beneath the blessed trees.
Let me live where worship’s near,
Where I can cry and smile and pray,
Not in a cage built out of fear—
But in the light of sacred day.
