A Cup Short, A Smile Gained
I came with hunger, craving two,
But on my plate—just one came through.
The waitress frowned, a tiny slip,
A missing dish from her busy grip.
At first, my mood was stormy, gray,
“Where’s my order? It’s gone astray!”
But then I laughed, the truth was sweet:
One less to pay, one less to eat.
Bad mood faded, light as air,
A blessing hid in simple care.
Wallet safe, my heart felt right—
Alhamdulillah, I saved tonight.
