"A Prayer in the Face of Fear"
It’s terrifying — it chills my spine,
Their shadows creep beyond the line.
They are frightening, not just in face,
But in words and lies that leave no trace.
O God, wherever my steps may roam,
Never leave me to walk alone.
I pray You always stay by me,
My only hope, my only plea.
May You forever guard my soul,
From those who play a twisted role —
With smiling masks and velvet tone,
But hearts of stone, cold to the bone.
O Lord, let justice rise and burn,
Give them the fate they’ve truly earned.
Let every scheme and hidden crime
Be judged by You, in perfect time.
Let them receive what they deserve,
No more, no less, by Your own verve.
May Heaven note each wound they gave,
And Earth recall what silence saves.
Protect me, Lord, from those who feign
Sweet words but bring unspoken pain.
In fear and faith, to You I cry —
You're the only truth in every lie.
