Week 1 – Classroom Basics

Vocabulary: Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence

Frayer Activity:

  • Complete Frayer boxes for each word (Definition, Characteristics, Examples, Non-Examples).

Activities:

  1. Flashcards: Match word → definition → example.
  2. Sentence Construction: Make 3 sentences using “Grammar” and “Sentence.”
  3. Game: Bingo using “Vocabulary” and “Grammar” examples.

Listening/Speaking:

  • Role-play teacher giving basic classroom commands: “Open your book.” “Write a sentence.”
  • Pair practice: Ask and answer “What is a sentence?”

Writing:

  • Write 3 sentences introducing a classmate using the word “Sentence.”


Week 2 – Classroom Communication

Vocabulary: Reading Comprehension, Listening Skills, Speaking Skills

Frayer Activity:

  • Fill in Frayer boxes for the 3 words.

Activities:

  1. Listening Exercise: Teacher reads short paragraph; students answer comprehension questions.
  2. Speaking Drill: Pair practice asking/answering “What do you do in reading class?”
  3. Game: Simon Says using classroom vocabulary.

Writing:

  • Write a paragraph describing a class activity using at least 2 vocabulary words.


Week 3 – Pronunciation & Expression

Vocabulary: Pronunciation, Paragraph, Question

Frayer Activity:

  • Students complete Frayer boxes.

Activities:

  1. Pronunciation Drill: Practice word stress and intonation.
  2. Reading Aloud: Read short paragraph and answer questions.
  3. Question Formation: Students make 5 questions using classroom vocabulary.

Writing:

  • Create a 3-sentence paragraph including a question word.


Week 4 – Answering & Expressions

Vocabulary: Answer, Classroom Expression, Instruction

Frayer Activity: Complete 4-box chart.

Activities:

  1. Role-play: Teacher gives instructions; students respond correctly.
  2. Speaking Practice: Use classroom expressions in dialogues.
  3. Game: Flashcard matching (Instruction → Action).

Writing:

  • Write 3 sentences giving instructions to a peer.


Week 5 – Activities & Fun

Vocabulary: Activity, Song, Story

Frayer Activity: 4-box template.

Activities:

  1. Listening: Listen to short song/story and answer questions.
  2. Speaking: Retell the story in pairs.
  3. Game: Story Building using 3 vocabulary words.

Writing:

  • Write a short story using at least 2 vocabulary words.


Week 6 – Games & Reading

Vocabulary: Game, Reading Aloud, Writing Skills

Frayer Activity: Complete boxes.

Activities:

  1. Reading Aloud: Students read a paragraph with correct pronunciation.
  2. Game: Vocabulary Hunt in classroom.
  3. Writing Exercise: Write 3 sentences describing the game.


Week 7 – Spelling & Listening

Vocabulary: Spelling, Listening Comprehension, Dialogue

Frayer Activity: 4-box chart.

Activities:

  1. Spelling Bee: Teacher calls out words; students spell correctly.
  2. Listening: Students answer questions from a short dialogue.
  3. Speaking: Pair dialogue practice using classroom expressions.

Writing:

  • Write a short dialogue using 2 vocabulary words.


Week 8 – Grammar Focus

Vocabulary: Pronoun, Verb, Noun

Frayer Activity: Complete for all 3 words.

Activities:

  1. Sentence Construction: Make sentences using pronouns, verbs, and nouns.
  2. Game: “Who am I?” (Students describe vocabulary using pronouns).
  3. Speaking Drill: Practice questions and answers using nouns and verbs.

Writing:

  • Write a 5-sentence paragraph using all 3 vocabulary words.


Week 9 – Describing & Objects

Vocabulary: Adjective, Classroom Object, Peer

Frayer Activity: 4-box chart.

Activities:

  1. Describing Objects: Students describe classroom objects using adjectives.
  2. Peer Activity: Pair students to describe each other’s favorite object.
  3. Game: Pictionary using classroom objects and adjectives.

Writing:

  • Write 3 sentences describing your peer’s classroom object.


Week 10 – Assessment & Motivation

Vocabulary: Assessment, Task, Motivation

Frayer Activity: Complete all boxes.

Activities:

  1. Mini Lesson Preparation: Students design a small activity using 3 vocabulary words.
  2. Speaking Practice: Present mini-lesson to class.
  3. Discussion: How motivation affects learning in class.

Writing:

  • Reflective paragraph: “How do I motivate my students to learn English?”

  • Weekly Participation & Frayer Completion: 10%
  • Vocabulary Quizzes (every 2 weeks): 20%
