When she Leaves

 

Today the wind carried sorrow in its quiet breath,

I am scared—
Yes, I admit it in this quiet prayer.
But perhaps fear is only a passing cloud,
And You are still the sky above it.
You arrange every chapter carefully,
Even the ones I do not understand.

If she must go, then You have written it so.
If this door closes, another will open.
Nothing escapes Your design,
Not even this ache in my chest.
There must be good waiting somewhere,
Beyond this moment of goodbye.

So I will trust You—now and forever.
When my voice shakes, I will still believe.
When loneliness whispers lies,
I will remember You are near.
You are constant when people leave,
You remain when seasons change.
