jenis penelitian Quasi-Experimental Design

 




Jika 1 kelas (60 mahasiswa) dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok — 30 sebagai kelas kontrol dan 30 sebagai kelas eksperimen — maka desain penelitian yang paling tepat adalah:

Quasi-Experimental Design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design)

Karena:

  • Mereka berasal dari kelas yang sama (tidak random antar kelas berbeda)

  • Biasanya tidak ada randomisasi murni tingkat populasi

  • Peneliti membagi menjadi dua kelompok untuk membandingkan perlakuan


📌 Penjelasan Desainnya

Struktur umumnya:

Kelompok Eksperimen
Pretest → Treatment → Posttest

Kelompok Kontrol
Pretest → Tanpa Treatment → Posttest

📊 Jika Dibagi Secara Acak dalam Satu Kelas?

Jika 60 mahasiswa tersebut dibagi secara random (acak murni) menjadi dua kelompok, maka itu bisa disebut:

True Experimental Design (Randomized Control Trial – RCT)

Tetapi dalam konteks pendidikan (kelas nyata di kampus), biasanya tetap dikategorikan sebagai quasi-experimental, karena:

  • Randomisasi sering tidak sepenuhnya ideal

  • Ada potensi bias interaksi antar mahasiswa (karena masih satu kelas)

Jika:

  • Satu kelas PGSD 60 mahasiswa

  • 30 menggunakan PBL biasa

Content analysis adalah





 Content analysis adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganalisis isi teks, dokumen, media, atau komunikasi secara sistematis dan objektif. Isinya bisa apa saja: artikel berita, buku pelajaran, jurnal, pidato, postingan media sosial, bahkan transkrip wawancara. Intinya, kamu tidak cuma membaca. Kamu mengurai, mengelompokkan, menghitung, dan menafsirkan makna yang muncul dari konten tersebut.

Secara umum, langkah-langkahnya seperti ini:

  1. Menentukan tujuan penelitian
    Mau menganalisis apa? Tema? Nilai moral? Representasi gender? Kompetensi abad 21 dalam kurikulum? Jangan kabur. Fokus.

  2. Menentukan unit analisis
    Bisa berupa kata, kalimat, paragraf, tema, atau dokumen utuh.

  3. Membuat kategori atau coding scheme
    Ini jantungnya. Kamu menentukan kategori yang akan digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data. Bisa berdasarkan teori (deduktif) atau muncul dari data (induktif).

  4. Melakukan coding
    Tandai bagian teks sesuai kategori yang sudah dibuat. Kalau perlu, gunakan tabel atau software seperti NVivo. Jangan asal feeling.

  5. Menganalisis dan menafsirkan hasil
    Bisa kuantitatif (misalnya menghitung frekuensi kemunculan tema) atau kualitatif (mendalami makna dan pola).

Ada dua jenis utama:

  • Content analysis kuantitatif → fokus pada angka dan frekuensi.

  • Content analysis kualitatif → fokus pada makna, pola, dan interpretasi.

Metode ini cocok untuk penelitian pendidikan, komunikasi, media, bahkan kebijakan publik. Kalau kamu sedang meneliti kompetensi guru di era AI, misalnya, kamu bisa menganalisis dokumen kurikulum, kebijakan nasional, atau artikel ilmiah untuk melihat kompetensi apa yang paling sering muncul dan bagaimana framing-nya.

Intinya, content analysis itu bukan sekadar membaca. Itu membaca dengan niat, struktur, dan disiplin.

Dan percayalah, kalau dilakukan dengan benar, ini metode yang sangat kuat. Kalau dilakukan asal-asalan, ya hasilnya seperti gosip akademik.
