The term social scientific refers to anything related to the social sciences — the branches of academic study that focus on human society, social relationships, and how individuals behave within a group.
When an approach or study is described as "social scientific," it means it attempts to understand human behavior using the rigorous, systematic methods of science, rather than relying solely on philosophy, personal opinion, or tradition.
